Chairman of SPA Standing Committee of DPRK meets with Speaker of State Duma of Russia

Jo Yong Won, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, met Vyacheslav Volodin, Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, at the Kumsusan State Guesthouse on April 25.
Present on the occasion were Kim Hyong Sik, Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the SPA of the DPRK, Kim Jong Gyu, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, officials concerned, major members of the official delegation of the Russian Federation and Vladimir Topekha, charge d'affaires ad interim of the Russian embassy in the DPRK.
Jo Yong Won said the leadership of the Russian Federation dispatched a high-ranking delegation to the inaugural ceremony of the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations, adding that it is an expression of the entire Russian people's sincere support and respect for the Korean people who are reverentially recalling the brilliant lives of the martyrs of the overseas operations units and praying for their immortality. He expressed the stand to strengthen and develop the bilateral relations true to the noble intention of the top leaders of the two countries.
Vyacheslav Volodin expressed heartfelt thanks to Comrade Kim Jong Un and the entire Korean people for giving assistance to driving the Ukrainian neo-Nazi occupiers out of Kursk Region. He stressed that Russia will never forget the merits of the heroic officers and men of the DPRK who sacrificed their lives without hesitation in the operation to liberate Kursk Region.
On the occasion, views were exchanged on the issues arising in further expanding and developing the exchanges and cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries and on the matters of mutual concern, and the will of both sides was reconfirmed again to thoroughly implement the agreements reached at the historic DPRK-Russia Pyongyang summit.
That evening, the SPA of the DPRK gave a reception at the Kumsusan State Guesthouse in welcome of the official delegation of the Russian Federation.
