The Sangwon Cement Complex, a leading building-materials production base of the country, is achieving good production results.

On his visit to the complex on March 1, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said that great records are found in each chapter of the chronicles of the past five years when socialist construction was marked with unprecedented upsurges and transformations and they surely include the unbounded devotion and sincere efforts of Sangwon workers, and that the whole country should have a deep understanding of this.

The workers of the Sangwon Cement Complex, greatly inspired by his love, trust and words of encouragement, are boosting production by displaying the enthusiasm for increased production.

“Even though the cement we produce is buried underground as the foundations of structures and covered by finishing materials, we have nothing more to desire if each gram of cement associated with our patriotic efforts contributes to national prosperity,” said Yun Jae Hyok, manager of the complex.

Sangwon workers effected a great upsurge in production, while exceeding the peak-year level in succession in the recent years.

They renewed the record again in 2024. Their output was so high that they could be proud of themselves. However, the target of increased production for 2025 was 10 times higher than their increased output in 2024. As it was impossible to be attained by existing conception and methods, if it was achieved, that could be claimed to be the creation of a new miracle, rather than increased production.

Realizing once again the importance of their position in definitely stepping up grand construction projects as planned, they buckled down to work with an extraordinary resolution and carried out their production plans every day, every week and every month from the outset of the year 2025. As a result, they increased the output of cement and gypsum by more than 7% and produced tens of thousands of tons of more clinker and over 100 000 tons of more limestone as compared to 2024, successfully executing the production plan of the complex on all indices.

They also carried out the national economic plan for January this year ahead of schedule, implemented the monthly cement production plan for February, while drastically increasing the per-hour clinker output over the previous month through the introduction of valuable technical innovation proposals, and overfulfilled the cement production plan for March by over 6%.

At present the complex is carrying out its daily cement production plan 1.2 times with the firm determination to renew the previous year’s miraculous production record, an all-time high since its inauguration.
