June 6, 1946 is the day when the Korean Children's Union was founded.

The members of the Korean Children's Union are growing to be pillars of the country with nothing to envy in the world under the loving care of the peerlessly great men.

For the Rising Generations

The great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung, father of socialist Korea, established the universal free education system and provided new school uniforms to the pupils and students across the country and trained the Children's Union members into true sons and daughters of the country.

The great leader Generalissimo Kim Jong Il regarded the training of posterity as an important work related to the future of the revolution and spared nothing for the schoolchildren.

Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il led the work of the Children's Union step by step in each period and at every stage of the developing revolution and always became dear teachers and overcautious parents of the schoolchildren.

The respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un shows his infinite love and affection to the members of the Children's Union, regarding them as treasures that cannot be compared with a colossal sum of money and valuables and as the whole of hope and future.

He made it a tradition to grandly celebrate the founding anniversary of the Korean Children's Union every year and took part in the meeting of the Children's Union members to wish them a bright future though he was so busy with the state affairs.

Under his leadership, more and more policies for the rising generations are enforced in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea with each passing day, including the policy on supplying all the pupils and students with the homemade school uniforms, bags, shoes and things, the policy on providing the conditions for bringing up the parentless children well and the policy on wonderfully remodeling the Children's Union camps and schoolchildren's palaces and halls across the country.

Marshal Kim Jong Un regraded it as the primary state affairs to bring up the rising generations and gave his first field guidance to the Pyongyang Bag Factory producing bags for the children in 2017. On the New Year's Day in 2023 he had a photo taken with the delegates to the Ninth Congress of the Korean Children's Union, hoping that all the Children's Union members throughout the country would be in good health and grow up more courageously to be able personnel with ample knowledge, high morality and strong body for the future of the country. On January 1 this year, he met schoolchildren who gave the New Year performance in 2026 and warmly wished them a happy future.

We Are the Happiest in the World

The respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un takes good care of all the children growing up on this land with the feeling of a mother who does not know comfort and self-satisfaction in the work for her children.

Under his loving care extracurricular educational bases for the children and homes for the orphans were built in all parts of the country.

The Okryu Children's Hospital was also built in a peculiar way at the direct initiative of Marshal Kim Jong Un and under his energetic leadership. It has classrooms, playing spaces and resting places for the children as well as different kinds of medical treatment rooms, operating rooms and wards.

Those monumental edifices for the schoolchildren are a crystallization of the warm affection and love of Marshal Kim Jong Un who maps out policies for the children first and is always concerned for the rising generations.

Witnessed in all parts of the world are such successive tragedies as shutting down of schools owing to ceaseless wars and crises, rapidly increasing traffic in children, frequent gun reports made at schools and all sorts of juvenile delinquencies.

In the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, however, the schoolchildren learn to their heart's content under the benefits of free education to accumulate a wealth of knowledge and develop their talents at extracurricular educational bases such as schoolchildren's palaces and camps. This is the privilege enjoyed only by the members of the Korean Children's Union.

One day, foreigners who visited the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace, said with great envy: "I want to be reborn as a child of Korea." "No children in other countries can match the happy children of Korea."

The great love of Marshal Kim Jong Un for the rising generations serves as a nutrient bringing up the members of the Korean Children's Union as dignified masters of prospering Korea.

Under his care, the members of the Korean Children's Union are stoutly growing into ardent juvenile revolutionaries and patriots who know the preciousness of the country and devote their all to the country and revolution, singing the song "We Are the Happiest in the World".

The Korean schoolchildren are growing up, smiling a bright smile and leading an upright life. They represent a bright future of Korea.
