Kim Chaek University of Technology can be said to play a vanguard role in the development of online education in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

In recent years alone, the university has made constant efforts to achieve a great progress in establishing an intelligent online education system.

It is said that the online education system newly established in the university at present is very effective in improving the quality of education and promoting the learning of working people from all walks of life.

Educators of the university established the new intelligent online education system by introducing artificial intelligence and computer technologies and combining theories and successes of educational science including educational technology and educational psychology on the basis of a deep study of the world trend of development.

According to Candidate Academician, Professor and Doctor Kim Il Nam, Dean of the Online Education Faculty, the intelligent teaching work administration system which constitutes an important part of this online education system automatically judges the study results of the students and offers appropriate studying materials in accordance with the order of the cognition process.

"The intelligent teaching work administration system has a learner model making it possible to simulate the thinking of an excellent teacher and have a correct understanding of learning state of the students. So it automatically analyzes what the students learned, what they don't know well and why and offers relevant studying resources.

The system gives a great help to every student in the online education which is weak in concrete assistance to study. It also increases the students' enthusiasm for learning by framing the system of analyzing the studying attitude and automatically working out notice about learning state for tens of thousands of working people."

The intelligent teaching work administration system also has an automatic question-and-answer system of displaying answers to the questions raised by students and an intelligent test system of assessing the students' scholarly achievements.

In addition, it is said that the system automatically marks the students' translation of foreign documents through the automatic evaluation system and automatically analyzes the reports on experiments, practical training and designing presented by students and their design drawings. Such intelligent online education system heightens the students' zeal for learning and ensures promptness and convenience of online education administration so as to give pedagogical guidance in a scientific way.
