Pyongyang, August 13 (KCNA) -- The strategic nuclear force of the DPRK is the best safeguard deterring the U.S. imperialists' nuclear war on the Korean peninsula, Rodong Sinmun Sunday says in an article.
It goes on:
More than seven decades have passed since the first nuclear weapon appeared in the earth.
The main character of the period is that possession of the strategic nuclear force decided positions of big powers.
The Cold War has continued worldwide and many big or small wars broke out in different regions. But the nuclear possessors did not suffer military aggression.
As the days go by, some nuclear possessors decide major international issues in line with their own interests and their arbitrary practices baffle human imagination.
In particular, the Korean peninsula has historically been the biggest hotbed in the world where strategic interests of big powers sharply collide with each other for its importance of the geopolitical position.
The U.S. has openly imposed military threats and blackmail upon the DPRK by wielding a nuclear stick for its strategic interests.
The DPRK has drawn the precious lesson that the danger of nuclear war can never disappear as long as the U.S., the worst nuclear warmonger in the world, threatens the DPRK with nukes, and the only mean to remove the danger of nuclear war is the nuclear weapon of justice.
According to the resolute strategic decision of the Workers' Party of Korea to cope with the nuclear with nuclear, the DPRK has equipped with the reliable nuclear deterrence for self-defence and became the world's nuclear power despite harsh hardships and ordeals.
The nuclear imbalance between the DPRK and the U.S. has totally ended.
Nothing can deny the historic feats of the DPRK which has contributed to ensuring peace and security in the Korean peninsula and the rest of the world as a responsible nuclear possessor.
