A ceremony for the completion of Phalhyang Dam of the Orangchon Power Station took place on December 4.
Present there were Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, Kim Jae Ryong, member of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, member of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, O Su Yong, vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, Tong Jong Ho, vice-premier, Ri Hi Yong, chairman of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the WPK, Jang Hyok, minister of Railways, Kwon Song Ho, minister of State Construction Control, officials concerned, officers and men of the Korean People's Army, builders, employees of the power station and working people in the province.
Kim Jae Ryong made an inaugural address.
Pak Pong Ju cut the tape.
After the ceremony, the senior Party and government officials looked round the dam. Together with the participants, they enjoyed the chorus of shock brigade members and supporters "Song of faith on the dam for devotedly defending the leader" given in congratulation of the completion of the dam.
