Jong Ho Bom, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar met and had a talk on January 3 with U Soe Han, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
The Ambassador informed that the Fifth Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, which was presided over by Comrade Kim Jong Un , Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea, set forth a revolutionary line on launching an offensive for frontal breakthrough to further push forward the socialist construction, and all people have now embarked on an all-out struggle to implement the vital tasks set forth at the Plenary Meeting.
Concurring with the view that it is because of the misbehavior of its dialogue partner who does not keep to promise that the DPRK announced an offensive for frontal breakthrough to be launched on the basis of self-reliance and took the measures for strengthening the national defense capabilities, the Permanent Secretary said that the government of Myanmar would consistently maintain its position that peace and stability should be achieved on the Korean peninsula and all issues be resolved through dialogue and negotiation.
