The triplets born one set after another at the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital in November last year are now growing happily.
On November 21 Kim Ok Gyong from Kangnyong County of South Hwanghae Province gave birth to triplets, the 493rd set at the hospital. Immediately after she was diagnosed to have conceived triplets, she was admitted to the hospital. There she enjoyed the benefits of free medical care, and had an easy delivery of the triplets. The first baby (daughter) weighed 2.31 kilograms, the second (daughter) 1.96 kilograms and the third (son) 2.1 kilograms, respectively, at birth, and they weigh 4 kilograms on average now.
On November 25 Cha Un Hyang from the city of Phyongsong of South Phyongan Province had three baby girls at a birth, and Choe Ok Hyang from Ryokpho District of Pyongyang gave birth to boy triplets on November 28, bringing pleasure in succession.
The 494th set of triplets weighed 1. 77 kg, 1.55 kg and 1.71 kg, respectively, at birth, and the 495th set 1.62 kg, 1.19 kg and 1.88 kg, respectively, at birth.
The triplets who are to leave hospital are growing up day after day, and their nursing mothers are also in good health.
