Schoolchildren from across the country who are on an expedition to Chairman Kim Jong Il’s birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp toured the Mupho Bivouac and the Taehongdan Revolutionary Battle Site on February 10.
During the expedition, they conducted a variety of political and cultural activities, including a question-and-answer contest and sports games.
At the Mupho Bivouac, where President Kim Il Sung stayed for a night together with his main-force unit of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army and put forward an operational policy for marching towards the Taehongdan area, they keenly felt the personality of Kim Il Sung, the heaven-sent great man, who had the Japanese imperialists under his thumb with his original guerrilla tactics.
They looked round the Mupho Angling Site, where Chairman Kim Jong Il matured a great plan for accomplishing the cause of modelling the whole society on Kimilsungism.
On arrival at the Taehongdan Revolutionary Battle Site, they laid a basket of flowers and bouquets at the statue of Kim Il Sung around the Monument to the Victorious Battle of the Musan Area and made a deep bow to it.
Being briefed on the victorious battle of the Musan area, they made the rounds of the large-sized sub-thematic group sculptures and the command post of the battle of Taehongdan and others.
