Joint Stamp Issued to Mark Anniversary of Establishment of DPRK-Cuba Diplomatic Ties

A ceremony of issuing joint stamp took place in Havana on October 8 to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the Republic of Cuba.
Present at the ceremony were Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla who is a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, officials of the Communist Party of Cuba, the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, the Cuban Foreign Ministry and the Cuban Ministry of Communications and diplomatic envoys of several countries in Cuba.
Also present were Ma Chol Su, DPRK Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Cuba, and his Embassy officials.
Speeches were made at the ceremony.
Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, said that the joint stamp is issued with pleasure and pride on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Cuba and the DPRK.
He recalled that Cuba has supported the efforts of the Korean people for building a prosperous socialist state and achieving durable peace and stability on the Korean peninsula.
Cuba always remembers firm material and moral support to the Cuban revolution rendered by President Kim Il Sung during the Caribbean crisis, he added.
He stressed that the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries serves as an occasion for further cementing the will to continue the historical bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation.
Ma Chol Su, DPRK Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Cuba, called for further developing the cooperative relations in various fields such as politics, economy and culture, true to the noble intention of the preceding leaders and the supreme leaders of the two countries.
