Kim Jong Un , General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), sent a congratulatory message to Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (LPDR), on March 23.
In the message, he sent warm congratulations and comradely greetings to Thongloun Sisoulith upon his election as President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, saying that his assumption of heavy responsibility as state leader in the recent election is an expression of deep trust and expectation of all Laotian people.
He also sincerely hoped that the fraternal people of Laos would make momentous progress in their struggle for national defense and building a prosperous socialist state under the leadership of the LPRP headed by the General Secretary.
Expressing the conviction that the traditional bonds of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and LPDR will be given a steady continuity in the future, too, in the joint struggle for victory in the cause of socialism, Kim Jong Un sincerely wished Thongloun Sisoulith good health and greater success in his responsible work.
