Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a message of greeting to Comrade Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, president of the Russian Federation, on May 9.
The message said:
The closest Comrade,
On behalf of the government and people of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, I extend the sincerest congratulations to you and the Russian state leadership and all the fraternal Russian people on the occasion of the 81 st anniversary of Russia’s victory in the Great Patriotic War.
I take this opportunity to pay high respect to the war veterans of the preceding generation who destroyed fascism and defended the freedom and liberation of mankind and the peace and security of the world with their matchless bravery and noble patriotic spirit, and to the Great Years.
Esteemed Comrade Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin,
I am always pleased and proud of the fact that we, together with you, are leading the present DPRK-Russia relations and writing a new brilliant history of independence, dignity, peace and prosperity suited to the common ideal and desire of the peoples of the two countries.
Reaffirming the stand of the government of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to give top priority to the comprehensive strategic partnership of alliance character between our two countries and invariably develop it, I affirm once again that we will always be responsible for the implementation of the obligations of the inter-state treaty between the DPRK and Russia.
Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich,
Pyongyang is always with you and the fraternal Russian people.
I sincerely wish you good health and bigger success in your responsible work for defending the dignity and interests of Russia on the occasion of Russia's great V-day.
I wish the fraternal Russian people only victory and glory in their way.
The history of Russia’s great victory in the war will continue.
