The finals of the Inter-Provincial Games-2021 for celebrating the Day of the Sun (birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung ) took place at Kim Il Sung Stadium on April 15.
Watching the games were cadres of the Party and the government, chief secretaries of the provincial Party committees, members of the National Sports Guidance Committee, officials of the ministries, national agencies and armed forces organs and Pyongyang citizens.
The football finals were held between students of Pyongyang Municipal Football School and North Hamgyong Provincial Football School.
The Pyongyang Municipal team beat the North Hamgyong Provincial team 3:1, winning the game.
The finals of tug-of-war marked the climax of the games.
Players from Pyongyang Municipality and North Phyongan Province, who defeated all their rivals before advancing into the finals, displayed team spirit and mental strength with strong will and perseverance.
The spectators cheered their players in one mind.
The Pyongyang Municipal team won the games.
Cadres of the Party and the government gave pep talks to the successful players.
The contest served as a significant occasion in making the enthusiasm for sports run higher across the country and arousing the people to the drive to implement the decisions made at the 8th Congress of the Party and the 2nd Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Party.
