Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, received a congratulatory message from G. A. Zhuganov, chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, on April 15.
The message said that on April 15 the Democratic People's Republic of Korea greeted the 109th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung , the great leader of the nation and the founder of the DPRK and the WPK.
It said that Kim Il Sung , son loyal to his country and wise leader and patriot, dedicated his whole life to the struggle for the future, independence and prosperity of socialist Korea.
Noting that under his leadership the Korean people have steadily advanced along the road of building a just society, achieved great successes in the fields of science, industry and culture and put the country’s defence capability onto a new level, it said the building of a socialist state that started under the leadership of Kim Il Sung is being successfully carried forward.
It said that, under the leadership of WPK, the working people of the DPRK are now confidently advancing along the road of building a prosperous society through implementing the behests of Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il .
It wished the Korean people greater success in socialist construction.
