At the Third Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea held in June this year, General Secretary Kim Jong Un of the WPK saw to it that decisive enforcement measures were taken to immediately solve the urgent matters in which the people were most interested and to which they look forward, before delivering a special order he personally signed.

His special order constitutes a historic declaration that demonstrates the true appearance of the WPK that takes greater care of and gets closer to the people when they experience difficulties.

Saying the ideal of devoted service for the people’s well-being, which is set forth as being sacred by the WPK, is the practical guideline and standard of action that call for bearing the responsibility for their lives and livelihood and upholding them with unconditional service, Kim Jong Un has done everything in his power for the sake of the prosperity of his country, well-being of the people and bright future of the coming generations.

In January Juche 103 (2014), he looked round a marine products-refrigerating facility at a fishery station newly built by a unit of the Korean People’s Army. Stressing the need for the KPA to take upon itself the work of providing fish to baby homes, orphanages, junior and senior middle schools for orphans and old people’s homes across the country all the year round, he issued on the spot an order in the name of the KPA Supreme Commander on building a fishery station of the KPA in charge of the work.

In the summer of Juche 104 (2015), Rason, a city in the northernmost tip of the country, was severely afflicted by flooding. At that time, he ordered the KPA to take full responsibility for recovering the city from the damage.

In September 2020, he organized to launch a campaign for recovery from the damage caused by natural disasters in North and South Hamgyong provinces which were hit by typhoons. He then sent an open letter to all the Party members in the capital city of Pyongyang, calling upon them to wholeheartedly console the people in the damaged areas with the warm care and solicitude of the Party and deep affection of the capital city, help them and work with devotion so that they can get rid of the aftereffects as soon as possible.

There is no more important undertaking than the work of bringing up children, the future of the country, to be strong and sound and it is the most important policy and the greatest, cherished desire of the Party and the state to provide more improved conditions for raising them even by investing huge sums of money, he noted not long ago, calling for establishing it as a Party’s policy to supply all the children across the country with nutritional foods including dairy products at state expense.

The Korean people, full of confidence and without pessimism and hopelessness even in the face of trials and ordeals, are dynamically advancing towards a fresh victory in socialist construction as they are led by Kim Jong Un , who bears full responsibility for their destiny and future and takes warm care of their living.
