An enlarged session of the plenary meeting of the Cabinet took place through the video conference system on October 26.
Premier Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, presided over the session.
It was attended by Vice-premiers Pak Jong Gun and Jon Hyon Chol and other Cabinet members.
Present there as observers were officials of institutions directly under the Cabinet and ministries, chairpersons of provincial, city and county people’s committees, and officials of agricultural guidance organs and major factories and enterprises.
The session reviewed the situation of the national economic plan for the third quarter of this year to thoroughly implement the decisions made at the Second and Third Plenary Meetings of the Eighth WPK Central Committee, and discussed measures to carry out the important tasks set forth by the historic policy speech the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un delivered at the 5th Session of the 14th Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK and to bring this year’s campaign to a successful conclusion.
Pak Jong Gun, vice-premier who is also chairman of the State Planning Commission, made a report to be followed by speeches.
The session, based on in-depth study and full discussion, adopted with unanimous approval a Cabinet decision “On implementing to the letter the important tasks set forth by the historic policy speech delivered by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un at the 5th Session of the 14th SPA of the DPRK”.
