The Myohyangsan Medical Appliances Factory is leading the development of medical appliances industry of the country.
It was inaugurated in April Juche 61(1972). At first it produced some kinds of medical appliances.
But now it has been developed into a factory extensively producing tens of kinds of medical appliances of good performance such as modern operating table, labor bed, consulting bed, cot, universal ear-nose-throat-treating chair and universal dental chair.
The modernized factory was inaugurated last year.
The producing environment of the factory corresponds to the international standard.
The medical appliances produced by the factory are popular as they were designed and upgraded according to the trend of development of latest medical appliances, the actual conditions of hospitals at home and the physical constitution of patients.
The factory is producing medical appliances with equipment of the latest style and the whole production processes have been put on an assembly-line and automatic basis.
It is actively promoting the work to make full study of latest information and develop rational and practical medical appliances of high performance.
The respected Kim Jong Un gave field guidance to the factory twice.
He visited it for the first time in hot summer August Juche 107(2018).
Jong Hui Rin, Chief Engineer of the Medical Appliances Industry Management Bureau under the Ministry of Public Health, says:
"That day, the respected Kim Jong Un called for rebuilding the Myohyangsan Medical Appliances Factory on a modern basis and modernizing and revitalizing other similar ones as a whole on the basis of its experience and improving the level of technical equipment and thus bringing about a decisive change in laying the material and technical foundations of the public health sector."
In October next year, Kim Jong Un called at the factory again to learn in detail about its reconstruction on a modern basis.
Carefully looking at the medical appliances and equipment made by the factory, he earnestly said: Of course, it is important to make a lot of medical appliances badly needed for protecting and promoting the people's lives. But what is more important is to make them qualitatively. This is the issue of viewpoint to the people.
Under his guidance, the Myohyangsan Medical Appliances Factory could be built into a factory for improving the people's health and a model factory of the medical appliances industry of the country.
