Active efforts are made in all sectors and units of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to strengthen their own scientific and technical forces.
The Pyongyang Fixtures Technology Exchange Company informs its employees of advanced science and technology on a regular basis, enrolls them in study-while-working educational system and provides them with conditions for technical innovations.
In the course, the employees have proposed many good ideas, which are introduced under the assistance of officials of the company and experts, giving benefits to the country as well as the company.
They established their own electric power production system based on solar energy which dispenses with state electricity, developed devices prolonging the serviceable life of battery and manufactured construction equipment and tools of Korean style including new color stone processing equipment.
Of course, the company is neither a specialized production unit nor a large enterprise. On the basis of the above-said successes, however, it could supply a lot of building materials to major construction sites including the site of construction of 10,000 flats in capital Pyongyang in the past.
This year the company intends to further raise the proportion of localization of construction equipment and tools and introduce into reality various technical innovation proposals for recycling the finishing building materials. It also induced those enrolled in the online education system to present more than one new ideas.
All the employees of the company are striving to make an active contribution to the capital city construction this year, too, true to the decisions adopted at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
