The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un boundlessly loves young people and puts them forward as the successor to and reserve force of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the masters of the future who will shoulder the destiny of the country.

In his work, “ Let Us Usher in a Golden Age of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth Movement, ” and other immortal classic works relating to the youth problem, he expressed his greatest trust in and love for young people, and his steadfast faith and will to further accelerate the victorious advance of the revolution by training them into genuine vanguards.

During his field guidance on August 27, Juche 101 (2012), he sent a message of congratulations to the participants in the Youth Day Celebration Conference and to other young people across the country. In the message he said that it is a source of great pride and glory for our Party and people to have such a legion of excellent young people as their reliable successors, and proudly stated that our Party is planning new projects aimed at making the nation prosperous, believing in the great patriotic enthusiasm, limitless mental strength and inexhaustible courage of young people.

Cherishing his infinite trust and love in their minds, young Koreans imbue themselves with the ennobling spirit of leaving their dear home villages to work at the remote power station construction sites, socialist cooperative farms and new development sites, teaching at schools in hard-of-access mountain villages and far-flung islands, donating their blood and skin unhesitatingly to others, and becoming eternal life companions of honoured disabled soldiers, children of war veterans and parents of orphans.

Kim Jong Un highly praised the young people who built a power station even in the face of biting cold in the northern part of the country as the creators of a legendary tale of heroic youth, and named it the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station. He also sent a letter of thanks to the Party and youth league organizations that have trained young people into the vanguard of the times possessed of ennobling spirit and virtues.

In August last year, he called young people, who had volunteered to work in the outposts of socialist construction true to the decisions of the Eighth Congress of the WPK, to the Youth Day celebrations and had a photo taken with them in recognition of their merits.

He set forth the slogan Let us demonstrate the mettle of patriotic youth in the worthwhile struggle for socialist construction! It reflects his great trust and expectation that the young people would demonstrate their resourcefulness and mettle to the full in the struggle to bring earlier the bright future of socialism and communism.

The future of the DPRK is optimistic as it has millions of young people who display their wisdom and courage at the major sites where socialism is being built under the guidance of the WPK, holding aloft the flag of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League.
