Preparations for local construction are going full steam ahead, true to the decisions made at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea to drastically transform the appearance and environment of farms by concentrating the efforts of the entire Party and the whole country on the rural construction.
According to the system for preferentially supplying cement necessary for rural construction, freight trains and trucks loaded with cement arrive in cities and counties in succession.
The first batch of freight trains and trucks arrived in Paechon and Yonan counties of South Hwanghae Province, Hungnam District in Hamhung City and Jangjin County of South Hamgyong Province, Anju City of South Phyongan Province, and other cities and counties.
Jagang, Kangwon and North Hamgyong provinces, in close contact with relevant sectors, are conducting in a three-dimensional way the work to carry cement in time in combination with rail, road and water transport.
North Hwanghae Province took a relevant measure beforehand to send cement to Yonthan, Sohung and other counties.
Officials in North Phyongan and Ryanggang provinces and Kaesong City are vigorously promoting the construction of storehouses and their renovation, and pushing ahead with all necessary work such as the buildup of construction forces and full preparation of construction equipment.
