Location: Wiwon County, Jagang Province
Area: 2. 3㎢
Types of Business: Processing of mineral resources, timber and agricultural products, manufacturing of machinery, and silk-raising and freshwater fish farming researches
The park covers an area of 2.3 square kilometres in some districts of Kojin-ri and Togam-ri in Wiwon County of Jagang Province on the opposite site of Ji’an City, Jilin Province of China with the Wiwon River, a branch of the Amnok River, in between.
At present, there is a metal-silicon factory that produces metal-silicon and ferrosilicon in and around the park.
As it is connected with Wiwon, Manpho and Junggang border passage points 20, 80, 180 km away respectively from Jilin Province of China, the park has favourable conditions for the immigration formalities and transport of exports and imports.
It is planned to turn it into an industrial development park which gives priority to the processing of mineral resources, timber and agricultural products and manufacturing of machinery by making use of underground, wood and hydraulic power resources abundant in the area, and combines silk-raising with freshwater fish farming.
