Ri Kum Hui, Principal of the Kinjae Primary Middle School in Sosong District of the capital city Pyongyang, is an able teacher who raises the general ability of students with her noble personality of educator and high qualifications.
She demands the teachers have high ability and noble moral traits.
Ri Kum Hui says:
"Students feel the superiority of the socialist education system in the teachers. Seeing the teachers, the students understand that our country and education are the best and they have the mind to study hard for such country.
The school is organizing many competitions of various themes in order to develop the students in a versatile way while directing efforts to the cultivation of cultured emotions and feelings."
Ri Kum Hui often organizes a meeting of students for representing their impressions after reading books and writing contest and lets them express the contents of relevant themes through songs, writings, pictures and foreign language according to their hobbies and aptitude. She also induces all teachers to present unique teaching methods suited to the characteristics of the subjects concerned and arousing the interest of the students.
She has invented many new teaching methods for more than 10 years, saying the high ability of a teacher is displayed only when it is combined with a correct teaching method.
Thanks to her sincere efforts, students could have a versatile knowledge and their creative ability to think and practise independently and actively has been remarkably improved.
It is only one year after she began to work as the principal. In those days a number of model lessons were created at the school and they were generalized throughout the country and the rate of admission to the talented personnel training organs was remarkably raised as against last year.
Ri Kum Hui took the first place in a national seminar on teaching methods held in the past and received an academic degree. But she finds greater pleasure in the growth of her disciples rather than her successes.
The educators striving to train their disciples as good talents of the country can be found at all schools in this country.
