Statistics were released that the police in charge of the public security are also deeply involved in increased mortality by the gun when there is an ever-worsening gun-related crime, malignant cancer of the American society. This is causing greater uneasiness and fear among the people.
“Washington Post” recently carried the news that 6,400 people were shot to death by the police in the last six years in the U.S., commenting that this means about 1,000 people were gunned down by the police every year or 3 people on average every day.
Much more shocking is the fact that some police are assuming the shape of victims even though they killed the people with excessive confrontation.
Last year, an incident took place where 2 police murdered a 20-year-old black youth in Florida. But their acts were given a decision of being just since they had insisted that they are the victims.
The father of murdered black youth gave vent to his anger this way; his son was unarmed and did not cause any threat; he can’t understand why the police are posing as victims.
It is said that mortality rate of the black people by the police is two times higher than the white people while the rate of using violence against the black people by the police is 3.6 times higher than the white people.
Such facts are too many to enumerate.
It is none other than the U.S. where the police are taking the lead in manslaughter instead of protecting the life and property of the people. It is a living hell where the human beings are being violated mercilessly even in their basic rights to existence.
