Powerful self-reliant defence capability is a cornerstone of the existence of the state and a guarantee for defending peace.
Leading the country and people as the President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the respected Kim Jong Un has regarded it as the most important of the state affairs to strengthen the defence capability.
In order to develop new weapon systems of Korean style he shared weal and woe with the defence scientists, developing their discrimination and giving new strength and courage to them. He also found himself at the dangerous firing line to guide test fires.
In those days Juche-based weapons were developed and perfected in succession to cement the defence capability of the country as the strongest one and the self-reliant defence capability that can reliably guarantee the security of the state has been further consolidated.
Kim Jong Un guided again the test fire of a new weapon on August 16, Juche 108(2019).
That day, he said powerful defence capability should be reliably ensured so as to accomplish the great cause of the Workers' Party of Korea for building a powerful socialist country with success.
The goal of the WPK for defence upbuilding is to possess the invincible military power nobody can challenge and keep strengthening it, he added.
True to his intention, the defence scientists developed Juche-based arms in succession.
The might of the DPRK was powerfully displayed through the test fire of new-type tactical guided weapon, the firing drills in the eastern and western sectors, the power demonstration fire of new-type tactical guided weapon, the test fire of super-large multiple launch rocket system and other drills and test fires of Korean-style weapons conducted throughout that year under the guidance of Kim Jong Un.
The Defence Development Exhibition "Self-Defence 2021" was grandly held in Pyongyang in October last year.
The exhibition intensively and intuitively showed the grand ambition, leadership ability and practical executive capacity of the WPK making a new turning point in strengthening the national defence capability.
It also displayed the amazing development of defence science and munitions industry made by the state and their bright future.
Kim Jong Un has consolidated the most powerful defence capability for prosperity of the country and happiness of the people and his immortal exploits will be told year after year.
