Habitual Practice of Plunder

The blatant plunder of crude oil in Syria by the U.S. is now drawing indignation and anger from the international society.

At the UN General Assembly a few days ago, the deputy permanent representative of Russia to the United Nations called for an immediate end to the plunder and export of grain and crude oil in Syria by the U.S. army. Meanwhile, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has also denounced the U.S. army for stealing Syrian crude oil like “pirates”.

The U.S. has a wicked habit of infringing sovereignty of a sovereign state and plundering it.

In April 1868, 150-odd years ago, a group of grave robbers consisted of hardened pirates wormed into our country under the direction of the then U.S. consul general to Shanghai.

Their objective was to steal the remains of Prince Namyon, father of Regent Taewongun Ri Ha Eung who held real power in the feudal government of Korea so as to force an unequal treaty of aggression and plunder other treasures buried in the tomb. But they encountered the strong resistance of the Korean people and had to beat a hasty retreat.

This is the part of the “Incident of Exhumation of Prince Namyon’s Tomb” by the U.S. aggressors.

There is a saying which goes “Like father, like son.” Like their ancestors, American descendants have also seized billions of US dollars from the Central Bank of Afghanistan as well as a large amount of overseas assets of Russia under the pretext of Ukrainian situation. They even went to the length of snatching 200,000 masks ordered by its major ally Germany and a submarine sale contract worth tens of billions of US dollar made by France with another country. Indeed, they are eclipsing their ancestors in terms of robbery skills.

It is not surprising that even a U.S. congressman said at an interview as follows: For a soldier, it is important to understand well his mission like he was trained from the first day of his service; it is a wrong attempt to illegally rob energy resources from Syrian people needed for their survival and creation of a new life.

Experts are commenting that the goal of the U.S. is to reap geopolitical and economic benefits by grasping key economic resources including the crude oil.

Now is not 19 th century but 21 st century. Besides, as a country frequently advocating “democracy” and “rule of law”, the U.S. will only be faced with bigger denunciation and rejection if it continues to immerse itself in aggression and plunder.

All the above-mentioned facts clearly demonstrate that “the kingpin of piracy” is another identity of the U.S. which is already infamous as “hacking empire” and “tapping empire”.
