Ri Yong Gil, minister of National Defence of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, sent a message of greetings to state councilor and defence minister of the People’s Republic of China, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.
In his message Ri congratulated the Chinese People’s Liberation Army for having won victory in the revolution for the past 95 years, safeguarded the national sovereignty and territorial integrity and registered remarkable achievements in the effort to build a modernized army under the leadership of the Communist Party of China headed by its general secretary Xi Jinping.
Noting that the armies of the two countries who fought shoulder to shoulder in the great wars against the Japanese and US imperialists are reliably guaranteeing the cause of socialism by force of arms, he stressed that the Korean People’s Army will conduct close strategic and tactical cooperative operations with the Chinese People’s Liberation Army so as to jointly defend the peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and the rest of the world.
A basket of flowers in the name of the Ministry of Defence of the DPRK was conveyed to the Defence Ministry of the PRC.
Written on the ribbon were letters, reading “Warm congratulations on the 95th founding anniversary of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.”
