Rangnang Museum was wonderfully built in the Rangnang area of the capital Pyongyang under the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea on the protection of national cultural heritages.
The museum intensively shows the timed-honoured history and brilliant culture of the Korean nation. As a result, the Rangnang culture rooted in ancient Joson has come to be handed down through generations and an educational centre for increasing the national pride provided.
Present at its inaugural ceremony held on the 28th were Ri Myong Chol and Hong Chol Jin, Secretaries of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the WPK, officials, teachers and researchers of the Party and government organs and in the field of national heritage protection, working people and students in Pyongyang City.
Choe Hui Thae, Chairman of the Pyongyang City People's Committee, made an inaugural address.
He noted that the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il said valuable ancient tombs in the Rangnang area should be assembled in one place to build a museum and the surroundings arranged like a park and indicated in detail the issues arising in preservation and management of historic relics.
He said the respected Kim Jong Un guided the miniature, designing and academic proposals concerning the construction of the museum and energetically led its construction, solving all problems.
The participants looked round the museum at the end of the inaugural ceremony.
