Some time ago, 5 500 modern farm machines arrived in cities and counties of South Hwanghae Province seething with harvesting.
True to the intention of the Workers’ Party of Korea which attaches importance to South Hwanghae Province, the largest agricultural province and a granary on the west coast of the country, the working class manufactured four kinds of new-type high-performance farm machines.
A mobile rice combined thresher can be carried by a small tractor so that it can be installed in any place favourable for threshing. It makes it possible to save much labour, time and fuel and minimize the cereal loss. Its selection rate is 98-99%, and it can thresh and select not only rice but wheat, barley and vegetable seeds.
A small-sized rice harvester can cut rice, wheat and barley.
Simpler in structure than the previous one, it is made in such a way as to suit the physical ability and constitution of farmers.
A mobile combined maize thresher can thresh large amounts of maize per hour with less manpower as it can be moved anywhere.
It can easily thresh wet maize as it works by a rubbing method, unlike the previous one. Its selection rate is about 98% with a lesser cereal loss.
A combined soil management machine can be used by installing it onto a tractor.
It can plough any fields to a depth of 20 to 30cm and save much labour as it performs ploughing, harrowing and ridging simultaneously.
After operating the farm machines, the farmers said that they were excellent as they were made to facilitate the most difficult and labour-consuming farm work.
