The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un regards the people’s trust in him as the most precious wealth which can never be bartered for anything else and as the highest honour and pleasure.
In September Juche 109 (2020) Kim Jong Un visited a rehabilitation project site in Taechong-ri, Unpha County, North Hwanghae Province, which had been affected by a natural disaster.
Looking round various places of the site that day, he recollected that when there was a natural disaster in Rason, some of the victims had intentionally pulled down their own houses, and said to officials: Officials should be indulgent to the complaints and grumbling of the people and grateful to them for being convinced that the Party would have new houses built for them, if they demolished their houses; and the trust of the people is sacred and if we have their trust, we will have nothing to fear in the world.
In April several years ago, he talked to officials as follows: Nothing is greater, more precious, thicker and more powerful than trust in the revolutionary struggle or life of anyone; revolutionaries can become stronger and genuine persons than anyone else because they have trust in the validity of their cause and trust in their comrades and people; and the revolutionary struggle is more worthwhile and the life of revolutionaries shines, only because they enjoy trust of their comrades and people.
He then continued: Trust makes it possible for revolutionaries to overcome any trials and ordeals and gain everything, but without trust they cannot advance even a single step but will lose everything—this is their struggle and life; in this sense, trust precisely means everything in the life of revolutionaries.
