All the Korean people significantly celebrated lunar New Year’s Day in Juche 112 (2023).
The people visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the supreme sanctuary of Juche where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il are preserved in their lifetime appearance, on the occasion of lunar New Year’s Day.
They recalled with deep emotion the sacred revolutionary careers and immortal exploits of the peerlessly great men, founder of socialist Korea, benefactors of the nation and the eternal sun of Juche.
The civilians and service personnel of the Korean People’s Army laid flower baskets and bouquets at the statues of the great leaders on Mansu Hill and their statues and smiling portraits in other parts of the country and extended lunar New Year’s Day greetings to them.
The unusual pride and emotion and the great joy of the Korean people living and struggling in the era of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un were felt in every corner of the country along with their pleasure of greeting lunar New Year’s Day.
Colourful artistic performances held in the capital city and other provinces revved up the festive atmosphere.
Public service amenities across the country delighted the visitors with various holiday services.
The Central Zoo, the Munsu Water Park, the People’s Open-Air Ice Rink, the cultural recreation centres for the people, were filled with merry laughter of people enjoying the holiday.
Kiosks serving roast chestnuts and sweet potatoes in the capital city also enlivened the festive mood.
