On May 19, Juche 102(2013) the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un visited the Pyongyang Municipal Myohyangsan Children's Union Mountaineering Camp and looked round different places of the camp.
Before leaving the camp, he proposed meeting campers and having a picture taken with them no matter how busy he might be, saying they would be quite regrettable if he failed to do so.
And he waited for the campers to come back from their mountaineering for a long time.
Un Kum Hyok, who was a pupil of the Kansong Junior Middle School in Phyongchon District at that time, says:
"We were enjoying mountaineering.
Unexpectedly, however, we were told that the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un visited the camp and was waiting for us.
We were so pleased to see him we've longed for even in dream that we shed tears, shouting 'Hurrah!' for him at the top of our voices.
Kim Jong Un told us to stop crying and called for having a picture taken with us, saying we would come out well in the picture when we smile.
This is how we had a picture taken with him.
The moment has been kept in my mind as a precious memory I cannot forget all my life."
The Children's Union members of that day have grown to be young people in their 20s. But, they still remember the day 10 years ago.
It was for nearly half an hour that Kim Jong Un waited for the little children at that time.
