Meetings were held in all provinces on the 25th to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the provincial art squads.
Present there were chief secretaries of the Provincial Committees of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, and creators and artistes of the provincial art squads.
A congratulatory message of the Central Committee of the WPK was conveyed to the creators and artistes of the provincial art squads marking the 50th anniversary of their establishment at the meetings.
In the message, the Central Committee of the WPK said that over the 50 years since they were established on January 26, Juche 62(1973) at the direct proposal of the great leader Kim Jong Il and under his care, the provincial art squads have made a contribution to the vigorous advance of the Party and the revolutionary cause, demonstrating their militancy and peculiar might as the main forces of front-line propaganda and agitation and as the powerful means of accurately-targeted ideological offensives.
At present, the provincial art squads are faced with the honourable tasks to rouse the Party members and other working people to the implementation of the decisions of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee on the forefront of the revolutionary ideological offensives, the message said and called on all the creators and artistes to conduct intensive front-line art agitation for increased production and better and faster construction so that the torch of miracles and innovations and the flames of patriotism can flare up more fiercely across the country.
The musical instruments sent by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un as gifts were conveyed to the provincial art squads.
