Scores of student-workers in the Pyongyang Construction Machine Factory are studying hard at the distance education faculties of Kim Chaek University of Technology and Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering.
They produce valuable technical innovation plans, bringing many profits to their factory.
They have recently made inventions conducive to improving production efficiency and saving labour and materials, and introduced them into production in a short span of time.
Among inventors are student-workers at the sheet-metal processing workshop.
They make strenuous efforts to consolidate the knowledge what they have learned in lectures in practice.
All of them are called treasures of the factory.
They invented an assembly and welding jig for setting the frame of an elevating box, which is conducive to boosting production efficiency.
In the past, two persons plus a welder were needed to fasten steel sheets in producing an elevating box. But now only one person is needed for the job while increasing production efficiency four times.
Student-workers of the casting workshop developed an original plan of removing gas in the course of molten metal pouring.
Such examples can be found in any workshops and workteams.
Kang Kum Chol, worker at the sheet-metal processing workshop, said: The future of our factory depends on us. I will study harder to bring earlier the brighter tomorrow.
