A meeting of members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea with a war veteran was held and a performance was given on July 23 by the art squad of the UAWK Central Committee to celebrate the 71st anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.
Present there were Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the Central Committee of the UAWK, officials concerned, officials and members of the UAWK and agricultural workers.
A speech was made by Ryu Song Jun, a war veteran.
He stressed that the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War was a brilliant fruition of President Kim Il Sung 's Juche-oriented military idea, superb strategy and tactics and his outstanding commandership and it was also won by the heroic spirit and indomitable struggle of the Korean service personnel and people boundlessly loyal to their leader.
He recalled with deep emotion that he took part in many battles during the three-year war to defeat the aggressors and performed feats in the battle for defending Orangchon.
He called upon all the agricultural workers to fulfill their duty as those responsible for the country's granary, true to the ideology and leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , just like the victorious wartime generation who absolutely trusted and followed the President despite harsh trails.
Then a celebration performance was given by the art squad of the Central Committee of the UAWK.
