The 13th Politburo Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea was held in the headquarters building of the Party Central Committee on February 5.
Present there were members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and members and alternate members of the Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee.
The meeting was presided over by Jo Yong Won, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and Secretary for Organizational Affairs of the Party Central Committee.
The meeting discussed the issue on the convocation of the Seventh Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK as an agenda item.
The Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee deliberated on and approved of the agenda items and schedule of the enlarged plenary meeting and selection of its observers.
The decision on calling the Seventh Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee late in February was adopted at the Politburo Meeting with unanimous approval and there was an assignment on the preparations for the plenary meeting.
