The moves of the US imperialists and the south Korean puppet traitors to violently encroach upon the sovereignty, security and interests of the DPRK and unleash a nuclear war, which are being committed unprecedentedly in terms of their aggressive nature and scale, have reached an intolerable phase.
To cope with the prevailing grave situation, the Workers’ Party of Korea saw to it that the ICBM Hwasongpho-17 was launched to demonstrate its practical will to resolutely counterattack with powerful physical force the enemies who are resorting to reckless military threats and aggravating the tension and confrontation in the Korean Peninsula to the brink of explosion.
The young vanguards, who are afire with the Party’s indomitable will against the enemies and the will to settle account with the US imperialists, turned out as one in the struggle to defend the country and annihilate the enemies.
According to information, over 800 000 youth league officials and youth and students across the country volunteered to join and rejoin the Korean People’s Army on Mary 17 alone.
Youth and students in the capital city of Pyongyang and other parts of the country held gatherings and signed the petitions to join and rejoin the KPA with the will to wipe out the war-maniacs running amuck like a tiger moth perishing in a fire.
Many university students across the country, including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Hamhung University of Chemical Engineering and Nampho University of Education, expressed their determination to firmly defend their ideology, system and beloved motherland.
The number of volunteers is on the steady increase.
