Kim Jong Un The word of "girl-mother" came into being along with the Second National Conference of Exemplary Young People of Virtue held in May Juche 104(2015).
On May 16, the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un came out to the photographing site to have a photo taken with the participants in the conference.
Before photographing, he met some young people who set an extraordinary example in displaying noble virtue. Among them was a 20-year-old girl who had been looking after seven orphans since she was 18.
She was too excited to keep back her tears. Kindly patting her on the back, Kim Jong Un said how laudable she was and called her "girl-mother".
Since then, she has been widely known to the whole country as "girl-mother" rather than as her real name--Jang Jong Hwa.
The photo of that day is hanging at the Youth Movement Museum in Pyongyang.
Lecturer Kim Jong A at the Youth Movement Museum says:
"The respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un looked round the newly-built Youth Movement Museum on January 19, 2016.
That day, he suddenly stopped walking in front of the photo.
Looking at the photo, he warmly said he couldn't forget the day when he had met the 'girl-mother' and that he was deeply impressed by her deed.
He went on to say the young people are doing a lot of good work for the society and collective and added that such exemplary young people of virtue as the 'girl-mother' should be produced a lot among the young people."
After the Second National Conference of Exemplary Young People of Virtue, Kim Jong Un spoke highly of the deed of the girl once again and earnestly said he wanted to hug her. Like this, he remembered her with love and affection.
Under the loving care of Kim Jong Un who regards the deed of the young people as the precious one, the girl had the honour of participating in the 9th and 10th congresses of the youth league, the celebrations of the 75th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea and other events.
That was how the "girl-mother" was well-known to the whole country thanks to his love. Young people in this country regard her as a model of the exemplary young people of virtue.
With her as a model of virtue, they fully display the fine traits of considering the state affairs to be more precious than their family affairs, thinking first of the society and collective before themselves, infinitely loving the people and regarding others' pain as their own.
