Amidst the vigorous mass technical innovation drive across the country, tens of units were awarded the title of model technical innovation unit.
According to available data of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea, 86 units, including over 40 factories, enterprises and agro-stock farms and over 40 workshops and workteams, won the title on the occasion of the Day of the Sun (President Kim Il Sung ’s birth anniversary) this year.
Among them, five of them won the title three times, and 33, two times.
Ryongjon Fruit Farm in Pukchong County, South Hamgyong Province and other units which were awarded the title thrice are steadily building up the ranks of their own technical force by enrolling employees at the distance education system.
Machine workshop No. 3 of the Ryongsong Machine Complex, which won the title twice, established a serial production process of air compressor and invented various jigs and other equipment for markedly reducing processing time, and introduced other valuable technical innovation plans into production.
And tens of units, including the rod mill workshop of the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex and nitrogen workshop of the February 8 Vinalon Complex, were honoured to receive the title.
