Choe Kon Il, head of the kidney internal medicine department of Kim Man Yu Hospital, is an excellent doctor who is unusually good at diagnosing and treating kidney diseases.
Over the past 20 years he has fully cured patients with kidney diseases, who were different in constitutional character and symptom, by means of valuable, advanced diagnosis and treatment methods.
He invented and introduced a treatment method that can raise the remission rate of nephrotic syndrome and prevent the recurrence of the disease by dint of multiple chemotherapy and a collective medical checkup system needed for the prevention and early diagnosis of kidney diseases among school-age children and now they both have marked effects in treating relevant patients.
Recently, he resuscitated patients who showed little reaction to drugs due to refractory nephrotic syndrome and who had different complications from kidney diseases by developing and introducing new treatment methods, including the one of simultaneously impacting a patient with a large amount of immunosuppressive drug, together with other researchers.
So far, he has put more than ten advanced methods of examination and treatment on a scientific basis to suit the physical characteristics of Koreans and written and generalized lots of treatment guides and reference books in preventive and curative institutions across the country.
