The Civil Servants’ Games-2023, which started on August 16, came to a close.
In the events of men’s football and volleyball, bowling and hurdles, players gave fullest play to their mental strength, unity of the collective and skills they have acquired in the days of conducting mass-based sports activities.
The Ministry of IT Industry team beat its rival, the Ministry of Land and Maritime Transport, by a score of 3 to 0 in the men’s football final held prior to the closing ceremony.
The closing ceremony took place at Kim Il Sung Stadium on September 12.
Present there were Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs of the DPRK and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, Kim Il Guk, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, members of the National Sports Guidance Committee, senior officials, civil servants and players from commissions, ministries and national agencies.
Total standings and rankings of each event were announced at the ceremony.
The Ministry of IT Industry team topped the total rankings in the games, the State Planning Commission, the second, and the Ministry of Electric Power Industry, the third.
Kim Tok Hun conferred rotating pennants and trophies on the excellent teams.
Kim Song Ryong, vice-premier of the Cabinet, delivered a closing address.
