The inauguration ceremony of the Ryonpho Greenhouse Farm was held in the Ryonpho area of South Hamgyong Province on the east coast of the country on October 10, 2022, the 77th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, in the presence of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .
It took only eight months or over 230 days to complete the project after its ground-breaking ceremony on February that year.
People said such a new miracle could be created only by the soldiers of the Korean People’s Army seconded to the project.
True to the special order of the Party Central Committee, they waged a fierce 24-7 campaign for over 230 days, helping and competing with each other even in the face of sandy storms and heavy rains, with a determination that they could never fall down before realizing the long-cherished desire of the Party and the noble spirit that the people’s happiness would become greater the more they sweat and the harder they work.
The project was challenging and its conditions were difficult, but they invented and introduced advanced methods to improve the speed and quality of construction and worked with their clean conscience.
Thanks to their heroic spirit and matchless creativity, the large-ever greenhouse farm in the world was erected as another gift of the WPK for the people.
The WPK Central Committee, in its letter of thanks sent to them, said the construction of the greenhouse farm and a new socialist rural village on the east coast was the precious fruition of the heroic struggle of KPA soldiers loyal to the idea and leadership of the WPK.
