The Central Election Guidance Committee for the elections of deputies to provincial (municipal), city (district) and county people’s assemblies of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on November 27 released the report on the election returns.
According to the report, the elections of deputies to provincial (municipal), city (district) and county people’s assemblies of the DPRK were successfully held on November 26, Juche 112 (2023).
99.63 percent of the electors registered on voter rolls took part in voting throughout the country.
Those, who were unable to take part in voting for being on foreign tour or working in oceans, amounted to 0.37 percent and the abstentions totalled 0.000078 percent.
Among the voters who took part in the ballot-casting, 99.91 percent voted for the candidates for deputies to provincial (municipal) people’s assemblies and 0.09 percent voted against them. 99.87 percent voted for candidates for deputies to city (district) and county people’s assemblies and 0.13 percent voted against them.
Thus, according to the DPRK Law on the Elections of Deputies to the People’s Assemblies at All Levels, 27 858 workers, farmers, intellectuals and officials became deputies to provincial (municipal), city (district) and county people’s assemblies.
