The following happened at the Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and the Kang Pan Sok Revolutionary School, the institutes of education for bereaved children of revolutionary martyrs in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
In August last year, those in their final year at those schools were feeling sorry about the fact that they had to leave the schools without participating in the celebrations of their 75th founding anniversary to be held before long.
Just at the time, they heard a surprising news.
Informed that the students of the graduating classes would leave the schools before their founding anniversary, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un took measures for them to take part in the celebrations by putting off the graduation ceremony.
Some time later on October 12, he called at the Mangyongdae Revolutionary School to congratulate the children on its founding anniversary.
That day, he had a photograph taken with the schoolchildren and made a promise to come back at the weekend.
Four days later, on October 16, the students of the graduating classes were supposed to leave for new revolutionary posts after the graduation ceremony.
That day, Kim Jong Un visited the Mangyongdae Revolutionary School again, keeping the promise he made during the celebrations.
He watched martial art training and pistol shooting of the students of the graduating class. When they got full marks, he gave them a big hand and had a photograph taken with them.
After all, those students of the graduating class had photographs taken twice before their graduation, though they had envied the lower-grade students as they could not take part in the celebrations.
That day, Kim Jong Un spent a long time with the schoolchildren and said: It is necessary to develop photos and give them to the students as they will leave the school soon. I will send cows bred at the Songam Myonggi Cattle Farm to the schools soon, he said and earnestly called for giving beef to the students before their graduation.
In the long run, the graduation ceremony of the students was put off again.
