The United States and other hostile forces sent strategic nuclear assets to the Korean peninsula frequently in 2023, too, maximizing the threat of nuclear war on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to the worst level in history.

The prevailing situation raised it as an essential demand to ensure definite military superiority of the DPRK over the aggressive arms of the hostile forces.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un regarded it as the first revolutionary task to give top priority and attach greatest importance to the building of national defense capability to boost the absolute strength indefinitely and make the armed forces of the DPRK more invincible. Under his wise leadership, the DPRK stockpiled the strongest defense capability in 2023 as well.

Kim Jong Un attached great significance to strengthening the political and ideological might of the armed forces of the DPRK in every way and paid deep attention to it.

He presented practical programs at the Sixth and Seventh Enlarged Meetings of the Eighth Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea to decisively defeat the enemy, with firm defense capability, improved overwhelming offensive power and strategic and tactical initiative.

Inspecting a unit of the People's Army in mid-August, he encouraged the service personnel, saying: The outcome of a battle is ascribed to the politico-ideological, spiritual and moral superiority of the service personnel. A soldier with the indomitable spirit can defeat the enemy and win any fight.

When he visited the training command post of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army in late August, he said victory or defeat in a war is decided by the brains of the commanding officers before a fight. And he emphasized that all the commanding officers of the army should be prepared as versatile combatants and full-fledged men of ability who could adapt themselves to every situation during a real war.

Thanks to his meticulous care, the armed forces of the DPRK could be further strengthened and developed into a politically and ideologically strong army with firm revolutionary faith, that remains loyal to the idea and cause of the leader.

Two military parades held at midnight and the parade of militia, one of the two pillars of the armed forces of the DPRK, clearly showed the real aspect of the politically and ideologically strong army.

Thanks to the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un, the Korean People's Army could be prepared as the armed forces with the Juche-oriented strategy and tactics, bold offensive way and perfect actual war capability, the whole country fortified and the firm all-people defence system established.

Kim Jong Un took measures to promote in real earnest the development of arms and equipment of new generation corresponding to a modern warfare and led it energetically.

He ensured that the spaces of tactical nuclear operation were constantly expanded and the means of application diversified at a higher stage to raise the combat reliability of the nuclear forces and the effectiveness of application of operations so as to strengthen the nuclear war preparedness in every way.  

He led the work to extraordinarily strengthen the war deterrence of the country by hastening the deployment of advanced strategic and tactical weapon systems for action.

It is his firm faith that when most powerful and superior nuclear forces are in a state of offensive preparedness, the enemy would be afraid of the DPRK and dare not to infringe upon the national prestige, social system and people of Korea.

Kim Jong Un firmly consolidated the strongest national defense power and his exploits will shine for all ages.
