Taedonggang Beer is one of the famous products in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
It has more than 20-year-long history. As compared with the world-famous ones, its period of production is not long. Today, however, the Taedonggang Beer has become a famous product all the Korean people like.
It has a high percentage of sale at the service units across the country as well as the capital city of Pyongyang. It is mass-produced at the Taedonggang Brewery.
21 years ago, the great leader Kim Jong Il visited the brewery and gave precious instructions on improving the quality of beer and increasing its variety and thus making a substantial contribution to the improvement of the people's living. True to his instructions, the employees of the brewery are making continuous efforts to produce the Taedonggang Beer as a famous beer with a world competitive edge.
The brewery has established a perfect quality control standard ranging from the reception of raw materials to the forwarding of products, and is turning the quality control into the work of the masses themselves.
It attached technicians to every workshop and established the system of making the workshops and workteams in charge of processes concerned bear full responsibility for the technical indices of each process. After all, the producer masses became the masters of the quality control and tried hard to acquire higher techniques and skills.
There is another point noteworthy in the work of the brewery to improve the quality of products. It is to renovate the production processes on an annual basis. It is realized by the technicians of the brewery.
At present, 60 to 70 technical innovation proposals conducive to remodelling the production processes are presented every month, and 80 percent of them is said to be from workers.
Since the brewery has constantly strengthened its technical force, more than 20 new production processes have been established in 10 years and all the employees grow to be talents developing the brewery.
The Taedonggang Beer tastes exhilarating and cool. So it is popular among the Korean people.
Foreigners who had drunk it expressed their admiration at its good taste.
As the Taedonggang Beer is winning popularity as a famous drink of Korea, its producers are steadily fostering their ability to create new technology.
