Provinces, cities and counties are steadily expanding and strengthening the foundations for producing dairy products.
Every province, which accumulated extensive experience in providing foodstuff factories in cities and counties with dairy products production lines, has been expanding such bases to rural ris this year.
At present, all provinces have made and sent more milk powder and yogurt production facilities to rural ris.
In North Hamgyong Province different production units pushed ahead with the manufacture of equipment for producing milk powder and thus provided all rural ris with such equipment, thereby laying a foundation for making dairy products by themselves and supplying them to the children there on a regular basis from the next year.
South Hamgyong Province has increased equipment production units and given priority to processing accessories while giving instruction in what should be observed in installing such equipment and operating the processes.
North Phyongan Province, which provided hundreds of rural ris with yogurt production facilities last year, has pushed ahead with the production of milk powder production equipment this year to be sent to more than 270 rural ris.
North Hwanghae Province, too, provided rural ris with yogurt production facilities before beginning to manufacture 100 facilities additionally for producing milk powder in May, and is now pushing forward the work to send them to rural ris at the final stage.
South Hwanghae, Kangwon and Ryanggang provinces, too, have finished or are almost finishing the manufacture of milk powder production equipment planned for this year at the final stage. Pyongyang Municipality, South Phyongan Province, and Nampho, Kaesong and Rason cities are working full tilt to expand and strengthen the foundation for the production of dairy products, bringing about good results.
