An increasing number of agricultural workers across the country are applying for the study-while-you-work system.
According to an official at Pyongyang University of Agriculture, many officials and working people in the agricultural sector enrolled at the distance education faculty for more than 10 days at the outset of this year.
Many other farm workers have attended online courses offered by Sariwon Kye Ung Sang University of Agriculture, Haeju Kim Je Won College of Agriculture and other institutions.
In step with the growing enthusiasm for learning among agricultural workers, farms are paying attention to helping them taking online courses concentrate on study.
The Oguk Farm in Anak County, South Hwanghae Province, which has an enrollment of dozens at Sariwon Kye Ung Sang University of Agriculture online, is directing efforts into providing the students with conditions for study and reviewing their performance results on different occasions.
The students are working hard to learn advanced sci-tech knowledge, well aware that scientific farming guarantees the sustainable growth of production in their farms.
