Kim Song Nam, Alternate Member of the Political Bureau and Director of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, on a visit to Viet Nam at the head of the delegation of the WPK, met Truong Thi Mai, Member of the Political Bureau, Standing Member of the Secretariat and Chairman of the Organizational Commission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, in Hanoi on the 26th and had a talk with him in a friendly atmosphere.
He courteously conveyed the warm greetings of Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, to Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam.
Truong Thi Mai expressed deep thanks for it and requested Kim Song Nam to convey the warm regards of Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, to Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the WPK.
Kim Song Nam said the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two parties and two countries established by the preceding leaders of the two countries and firmly consolidated on the road of joint anti-imperialist struggle are developing onto a new high stage amid deep concern of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong.
He stressed the need to consolidate friendship and unity on the road for vigorous advance of the socialist cause and strengthen mutual support, solidarity and collaboration on the international arena in the future, too.
Truong Thi Mai said Viet Nam sincerely hopes that the Korean people would make greater successes in socialist construction including the economic construction and the improvement of the people's living under the leadership of the WPK headed by General Secretary Kim Jong Un.
He also said the Vietnamese people are always grateful for the support and encouragement of the Korean people to the struggle for national liberation, the cause of reunification of the country and the socialist construction. He expressed the stand of the Vietnamese side to promote the understanding and cooperation between the two countries through exchanges in different fields and thus further develop the bilateral relations.
Present at the talk were members of the delegation of the WPK, the charge d'affaires ad interim of the DPRK in Viet Nam, and the Deputy Director of the General Office and the Vice-Chairman of the Commission for External Affairs of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam.
