The 12th anniversary of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un ’s assumption of the top posts of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the state was significantly celebrated in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
Witnessing ceaseless victory and glory achieved under the leadership of the great Party, the people of the DPRK more keenly realized that the dignity of the WPK has reached the highest level and a new era of comprehensive national rejuvenation and great changes has been ushered in on this land, thanks to the peerlessly great man possessed of extraordinary political calibre, outstanding leadership and noble traits.
Officials, working people, service personnel of the People’s Army and youth and students visited the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill and other parts of the country to lay flower baskets, bouquets and flowers.
Ardent reverence for the peerlessly great man was expressed at the venues of photo exhibitions held in the capital city of Pyongyang and provinces, cities and counties.
The national flag was hoisted at major places of Pyongyang and provincial, city and county seats and at institutions, industrial establishments and farms, and beautiful flowers in full bloom across the country added to the festive atmosphere.
Artistes of the National Acrobatic Troupe and the National Folk Art Troupe gave a joint performance at the Pyongyang Circus Theatre.
Art squads of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League and the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea and the railway art squad gave colourful performances in different parts of the capital city.
Dancing parties of youth and students and women’s union members took place across the country.
