One May day in Juche 105 (2016), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un viewed textbooks for kindergarteners, primary and middle school children and university students.
He examined each textbook and reference book to be used by kindergarteners and primary school children, and expressed great satisfaction, saying they are very well compiled and the textbook covers are well designed to suit the needs of children.
After seeing the university textbooks, he told officials that it is the intention of the Workers’ Party of Korea to turn the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea into a country of education, and that what matters here is partly to make children and students use home-made schoolbags, textbooks and notebooks.
He then pointed to the need to continue to compile many high-quality textbooks for the children and students, adding that due attention should be paid to textbooks as they are vital to education.
